ICT literacy skills proficiency and experience on the use of electronic resources amongst undergraduate students in selected Eastern Cape Universities, South Africa

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the levels information and communication technology (ICT) literacy proficiency experiences amongst Universities Fort Hare Rhodes undergraduate students, on utilization electronic resources South Africa. Design/methodology/approach This research comprised students from Rhodes, who registered for a three- or four-year study. study implemented stratified random sampling procedure. study’s sample size was proportionally distributed all faculties common both universities. mixed method applied in Of 377 administered copies questionnaire, 285 were returned, which 266 deemed useable, thereby generating 70.6% response rate. results analysed using SPSS version 26. Findings revealed that there underutilization by respondents due their low level ICT experience.
